Many people ask if they can do a sponsored event for us and we are of course delighted. It is so easy to do - by far the easiest is to set up a JustGiving page which you can tailor to your event. You then email your event to all your friends and contacts, track your fundraising progress and can give updates. It evens collects GiftAid on donations from UK taxpayers, adding an extra 28p for every pound they donate to your fundraising campaign, raising even more money for our hounds!

Deep River Rock Belfast Marath

Stuart Voaden is a great supporter of GRWE and has fostered dogs for us including Skippy who has come to us recently with quite serious injuries.
Stuart has not only just run the Deep River Rock Belfast Marathon Relay in aid of GRWE but he is now planning another marathon later in the year.
“I really enjoyed running the marathon for 'you lot'! It makes a real difference knowing that dogs like Skippy will get the specialist and expensive treatment they need.”

Delamere Forest Sponsored Walk

Get involved in this fabulous greyhound and lurcher sponsored walk in the beautiful location of Delamere Forest in Cheshire! You will rarely see so many hounds gathered in one place at one time, all participating in the sponsored walk to raise some much needed funds for a great cause. All monies raised will go to GRWE, helping to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned and abused greyhounds and lurchers.
You can donate via our just giving page or alternatively you can contact Lindsay Ford to get hold of a sponsorship form.
Delamere Forest is situated approximately 10 miles from the outskirts of Chester and close to the M56. The forest park is well sign posted from the A54, A556 and B5152. Postcode for the sat nav is CW8 2JD.
Walkers: Please bring cheques/cash on the day to hand in at the GRWE stand, or post a cheque payable to GRWE with your sponsorship form to GRWE, Sponsored Walk - Cheshire, PO Box 4243, Radstock, BA3 3ZL.

Brighton Marathon

On April 10 2011 I'll be running in the second Brighton marathon in aid of GRWE. I plan to raise over £500.
I have a lurcher myself that came over from Ireland as a stray and realise the problems the recession has created for animal charities and would like to try and raise as much money to help as possible.
